Abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that enhances the appearance of the stomach by removing excess skin and fat tissue and tensing the muscles of the abdominal wall, resulting in a flat and firm abdomen.
Abdominoplasty is ideal for patients with abundant abdominal fat deposits, significant flaccidity of the skin and abdominal muscles that will not go away with diet and exercise. It is also advisable for women that have had multiple pregnancies.
Abdominoplasty is carried out under general anesthesia and takes approximately three hours.
Recovery is not painful, and the patient only needs to be admitted for one day. During the first days after the procedure, we prescribe the continuous use of an abdominal fastener, and the patient is required to avoid physical strains and sunbathing. Abdominoplasty, the procedure must then be supplemented by manual lymphatic drainage. This procedure is frequently associated to other techniques such as liposculpture, which may help obtain a slender and more younger-looking abdomen in the cases where it is recommended.
The size of the scars is proportional to the quantity of “excess” skin the patient may have. For small quantities of excess skin, the patient may have a miniabdominoplasty with or without liposuction, with considerably lesser scarring. The scars are generally located above pubic hair line and in both inguinal regions, so that they can be hidden under a bikini.
In this way, Natural Surg allows to obtain a flat, athletic and aesthetically attractive stomach.
